Staking

Staking is the primary value accrual strategy of SmartBird. Stakers stake their SBIRD on the SmartBird dApp to earn rebase rewards. The rebase rewards come from the proceeds from bond sales, and can vary based on the number of SBIRD staked in the protocol and the reward rate set by monetary policy.

By staking your SBIRD with Moonbird Finance, you receive sSBIRD (staked SBIRD) in return at a 1:1 ratio. After that, your sSBIRD balance will increase automatically on every epoch (every 8 hours there is a rebase) based on the current APY.
